The Phase Response Curve (PRC) is a data visualization method that is unique to circadian biology. It summarizes circadian responses from many experiments, conducted at different circadian times, and provides predictions of how the clock will reset to environmental cues throughout the day. It is powerful in the information it conveys, but dense and unfamiliar to those who are new to circadian biology. This video walks you through the PRC — how it is generated and how to interpret it.
